I had intented to get a lot of work done this summer, but other more important things came up, so it looks like I will have to try again next summer.

Because a stainless steel dual exhaust is so expensive, earlier this summer I had decided to put the old single exhaust on, just so I could start the motor. Then at a later time replace it with the dual exhaust. I never got to the point where I could start the engine, so my new plan is to buy the dual exhaust, install it this winter, and get the engine to the point where I can start it in the spring. I am far enough away that I don't want to put anti-freeze and water in the engine and take the chance that it might freeze and crack this winter.

Basically the only difference in this picture and the previous one is that the core support and radiator are temporarily installed in order to mock up and fit the transmission lines. The cast iron headers are removed and replaced with the old runner type exhaust manifolds so that I could hook up the old single exhaust. The driveshaft is also installed.
