Comments: Just got it February 17th 2011. It is pretty straight except for some bumpers and 49 years of dents. Has sabotaged wiring but nearly ready to hit the street. Thinking of putting it back to near original condition or just a fun cruiser. Submitted by Ben, 02/23/2011.

Comments: This car is a gift to my son from a fellow 62 galaxie owner. Picked up today in Aspers, PA 2 hours west of our home in Downingtown PA. Josh Holmes is the owner of this 21k mile Galaxie 500 Town Sedan. The stainless on the car is amazing the rocker trim looks new the Horn ring looks new. Solid floors, the only exterior flaw is rusting at the trim line around the entire car. The Interior has lost its stitching, the seats look new but six seams have come apart and the headliner has as well. Car looks good now can’t wait to see it when we clean. Transferred in ‘79 with 20K and then in 2001 with 21K and now with 21700. Submitted by Jim Holmes, 02/26/2011.

Comments: This car was imported to Australia from Texas in late 2009. I bought the car when it was offered for sale in Oct 2010 as it has been a desire to own 1962 XL for several years. The car has undergone a restoration approx 10 years ago, when the color was changed to red. I intend to do a complete restoration over the next few years to bring the car back to original condition. Comments: Recently purchased car and now need to sell. Car has what appears to be factory wire wheels with spinner trim, blue oval logo. Not sure if these are original but look as aged as car. 3 deuce carbs replaced along the way with a Holley dp and Edelbrock manifold (too bad) would appreciate any info on the wire wheels... Car is for sale. contact me if interested, or if you can provide any info on the origin of wire wheels... Submitted by Steve Jensen, 04/09/2011.

Comments: Picked this up in Colorado Springs from a classic/vintage car dealer. Mechanically, it's in great shape; it's obvious that what's under the hood has taken much precedence over the rest of the vehicle. Body is straight, one minor dent in the trunk. Some paint is chipping. The car appears to have been unmolested, everything except the vehicle's battery monitor appears to be original. The front seat is in dire need of replacement (it is well on its way to missing the driver's portion of the front bench), as is the carpet and trunk liner. Overall, for what I paid for it, I'm thrilled to be a Galaxie owner. Submitted by Justin Dabill, 04/20/2011.

Comments: I purchased this car July 2011 after it had been sitting for over 30 years in a barn in Michigan. It has 15k miles on it. Interior is in near mint condition. Body looks great but has a lot of rust underneath. Submitted by Bob Gilmour, 08/03/2011.

Update: Car has a few dings and some rust. It is 100% original including tires except for master cylinder and a few brake parts that I still have. Submitted by Bob Gilmour, 10/30/2011.

Comments: The start of a father and son restore project. It is in good condition and we are going to put a 390 in it. If anyone happens to have pointers on restoring this or has a good place to get trim let me know. Submitted by Carter Reiff, 08/28/2011.

Registry Note: Get a digital camera and take photos of everything. Put bolts back in the holes they came from so they don't get lost. Keep a journal with good notes on how stuff fits together and where it goes. Have fun!

Comments: The car is without the drivetrain and had come with a non original front clip (not sure if is a 62''clip?). The interior seats and console are in the vehicle, but put together. This car was given to me and hopefully can be restored someday. I also have a ‘60 2door sedan Galaxie. Submitted by Mark Pruvost, 09/01/2011.

Comments: I bought this car for $3500. 9/11. I've spent $10,000 plus trying to recreate a real cool authentic street rod. Rake in the rear, reverse steelies, 7" in the rear, 6" upfront. Transplanted 1966 390 FE. Submitted by Bill, 10/10/2011.
Comment Update 12/2016: Slowly rebuilt over the past 4-5 years. AOD transmission, fresh paint and carpet this winter, engine was rebuilt 2 years ago, .60 over, roller cam, aluminum heads, hydrolic lifters. It's not quick, but it is fast. My vision is to make it into a period correct mid 60's muscle car that a Chicago greaser would street race in while listening to the Ronnettes turned up to 11. Enjoy and please look for me around the Midwest all summer long-from car shows to nostalgia drag races. Submitted by Bill Piekarz.
